Six-panel folding screen painted in ink, natural pigments on gold-leaf ground, depicting the perpetual crashing of the waves on the rocks which contrasts with the static nature of some majestic pines (matsu), whose picturesque appearance is the result of the winds and the saltiness action. The wonderful golden background emphasizes the green of the foliage and the blue of the ocean, creating a very beautiful image.
